Encrypted in transit
Every connection between the Donget app and our backend travels over HTTPS with industry-standard TLS encryption. Your expenses, balances and account details aren't sent in the clear — they're protected on the way to and from our servers.
Secure sign-in with Google & Apple
You sign in with your Google or Apple account, so there's no Donget password to forget, reuse or have leaked in a breach. The proven sign-in flows from Google and Apple handle authentication, and Donget only ever sees a secure token — never your provider password.
No ads, no selling your data
Donget has no advertising business. We don't run ads against your expenses, we don't share your data with ad networks, and we never sell or profile your spending. Your group's money is not the product — it's simply yours.
You control your data
Your data belongs to you. You can export it whenever you want, and you can permanently delete your account — and the personal data tied to it — right from the app's settings. No emails to send, no hoops to jump through.
Your group stays private
A group's expenses, balances and receipts are visible only to the members of that group. Nobody outside is along for the ride, and there's no public feed of who spent what. What happens in your group stays in your group.

Is my data encrypted?
Yes — all traffic between the Donget app and our backend is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Data on our infrastructure is protected with access controls and other safeguards.
Does Donget have my password?
No. You sign in with Google or Apple, so there is no separate Donget password to store or leak. Authentication is handled by the provider you choose, and Donget only receives a secure token.
Do you sell my data or show ads?
Never. Donget has no advertising business and no data-selling business. We don't profile your spending or hand your data to ad networks. The app is free without turning you into the product.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can permanently delete your account — and the personal data tied to it — directly from the account settings in the app. You can also export your data whenever you like.
Who can see my group's expenses?
Only the members of that group. Expenses, balances and receipts are private to the group they belong to — there is no public feed and no outside access.
Where is my data stored?
Donget runs on a secure cloud backend (Supabase). Your data may be processed on servers outside your home country, with appropriate safeguards, so your group stays in sync across devices in realtime.
