Use Donget in your language
Updated
Donget speaks nine languages, including fully right-to-left Persian and Arabic, designed properly rather than bolted on. Everyone in a Group can use the app in the language they’re most comfortable with.
Change your language
- Open Donget and go to Settings.
- Tap Language.
- Pick the language you want from the list.
The app switches straight away — no restart needed. Menus, buttons and labels all update, and for Persian and Arabic the whole layout flips to right-to-left so text and navigation feel natural.
Everyone can choose their own
Your language is a personal setting. Choosing Persian doesn’t change what your friends see — each Member picks their own language independently. A Group can happily mix English, Arabic and Persian speakers, and everyone sees the same Expenses and Balances in their own words.
Tip: Numbers and currencies follow your language too, so amounts read the way you expect. The underlying figures are identical for everyone — only the presentation changes — so Balances always agree across the Group.
If a language follows your phone
By default, Donget tries to match your device’s language when you first open it. If it didn’t guess right, just set your preference manually in Settings → Language and it’ll stick.
More languages over time
We’re always adding languages and polishing translations. If the app updates and a new option appears, you’ll find it in the same Language list — nothing else to do.
Why it matters
Splitting money is sensitive enough without a language barrier. Letting each person use Donget in their own language keeps everyone clear on what they owe and what they’re owed — which is the whole point.
Every language, including full right-to-left support, is included for free with no limits.
